(Don’t be confused. This is not my software.)

Presently, there are over 331 thousand meta data entries in the KJPro database. This is the last database that kJams queries because it requires some input from you, while the other databases do not. In order to query KJPro, you need to tell kJams the correct “database ready” title of the disc. This is the disc name that KJPro uses to reference the disc.

Here’s how you do it.

  1. Stick in your CD.
  2. The KJPro dialog will automatically pop up if the other databases find no meta data. If the dialog does not pop up, you can force a query of this database by selecting Advanced → Get CD Tracks from KJPro.
  3. Click on the KJPro button to go to the website.
  4. Search for the CD by disc #, title, and/or artist. Davequestion: ;at this point, you don’t have a disc number, so what are you entering?
  5. If you do not see your CD, it’s not in the database. If you see your CD, click on the link to it.
  6. Verify that this is, in fact, your CD.
  7. In the URL Bar, you will see “DiscNo=” followed by KJPro’s name for the disc. This is the name you want to copy & paste into kJams. Place your cursor on this part of the URL and double click. This should select just the disc name.
  8. Select Edit → Copy.
  9. Go back to kJams.
  10. Paste this disc name into the KJPro dialog and press return.
  11. That’s it!

kJams updates the copy of the meta data that it keeps for this disc. (Note: you will lose any info currently stored for that disc.)
