Conforming

In the following explanation, I am going to use these conventions:
L = aLbum name
T = Track number
R = aRtist name
S = Song name
V = rendition (Version)

When you choose a Conform Template, you're picking how exactly you'd like kJams to format the names of the songs it keeps track of. kJams will use this template to set the file names when you edit meta info, when you export, or when you convert format. When you convert format, the songs get copied into the library folder, and so take on the template for that folder (Note: see last paragraph).

eg: if you pick "T S", which is the default for iTunes, you'll get song names like this:
"05 Wish You Were Here"
"02 Tonight, Tonight"

eg: if you pick "L-T - R - S" you'll get stuff like this:
"Dk001-12 - John, Elton - Bennie & The Jets"
"Chartbusters.1-02 - Fiona Apple - Across The Universe"

Original: This is only relevant to songs you have "Add to library…"-d. The songs *inside* the library folder will always be "T S" for unzipped songs and "L-T - R - S" for zipped songs.

Revised: This is only relevant to songs you have "Add to library…"-d. The songs *inside* the library folder will always be "T S" for zipped songs and "L-T - R - S (V)" for unzipped songs.
