Re: Catalina

one license can be activated 2 times. if you need to transfer a license, you need to deactivate one before you move it. If your VM is slow, maybe try Parallels? i don't know if they have a free tryout. To move your kJams installation, including your library, playlists, singers, serial number, and pr...

Here is all the info that i have on the 64 bit port of kJams.

I've been warning users for over a year NOT to upgrade, but I suppose i should put the warning in the app too.

Re: PaddleServer in my dock

Paddle is the shopping cart app that manages licensing for kJams. It has to run temporarily on startup to check the license, then again if you upgrade kjams. it should run for a few seconds, then quit automatically. there's no reason for it to STAY in the dock, and it certainly doesn't request to st...

Re: Getting ready for 64-bit kJams on OSX

it will install and run, as an update, not an upgrade. in this context, an update is free minor version change, while an upgrade is a paid change to get a totally new edition. i don't consider the 64 bit version a totally new edition, because if someone made me pay to just be able to keep using my e...

Re: Getting ready for 64-bit kJams on OSX

If [one] upgrades to macOS 10.15 (before updating kJams to 64bit), and then the 64 bit kJams is subsequently released, when I click on kJams on her machine, will it run enough to do the kJams update. No, it's impossible to run 32bit apps on a pure 64bit system. If i could run it "enough" then it wo...

Re: Changing volume for a song

"Remember Song Volume" will take the current volume from the volume slider knob. If you set it all the way to the right, full volume, it will be remebered at "1.0". if i understand correctly, this has nothing to do with what you need: what you need is to punch the volume HIGHER than the max. for tha...

Re: Changing volume for a song

sorry i didn't understand, but the answer is no, you can't make a song LOUDER than the maximum volume.
you will only cause distortion if you attempt to do that.
