Converting MP3s to Karaoke Songs

Post by EmmaViz »

Hi,

My friend is a nerdcore rapper who loves karaoke, and I'd like to convert his new CD to a karaoke disc so my friends and I can surprise him next time we go karoke-ing. Can you recommend a program for a mac that will allow me to convert mp3's to karaoke tracks with embedded lyrics?

Also, will I need to download another sort of program so my computer can read the CD + G files?

Thanks!

best is to get the original multitrack mix from the artist, so you can create the audio without the lead vocals.
otherwise you're stuck attempting to remove the vocals after the fact, a very wishy-washy endeavor.

other than that, use kJams Producer together with TunePrompter to create your sync'd lyrics.
then you can tweak and perfect the layout and timing in Producer.

kJams (with the Producer plugin and Burning plugin) and TunePrompter is all you need :)
