Changing song order within one single playlist

Hello, and I'm sorry in advance for what I'm sure must be a really stupid question. I recently purchased KJams Lite and must say what a great program it is - thank you. I am, however, getting really frustrated with a simple thing.

I have created a playlist, and I only want to maintain ONE playlist for everyone to use (this is since my not-so-technically-minded family/friends can just add songs at parties without any hassle and also because we usually swap singers all the time or join in, so no singer playlists). I have been adding songs to the playlist as I go through the library, through the targeting. What I now want to do is change the order of songs on the fly, as we may pre-select songs before a party then decide a different order when we actually sing. I have tried to drag and drop to change the order as described in the threads I found on the forum, and the FAQ, but this does not seem to work AT ALL. It doesn't highlight when I move over another song or move. I'm using OSX Yosemite.

are you sorted by "User Sort Order (#)" ?

Yes, I am. That was the first thing I found in the FAQs!

are you moving the tip of the mouse pointer over the text of the drop destination? not just the drag image?
mac or windows?
try quit and re-start kjams?

Yes - tried both of those things, and I'm using a Mac with OSX Yosemite.

For what it's worth, I'm not sure if this is a similar issue or whether this feature exists or not, but I can't drag and drop from the library into the playlist - I can only use targeted playlist and double click.

are you having drag and drop trouble with any other apps? have you restarted your mac?
if you're still having trouble, let's get on the phone tomorrow

I knew it would be something simple or just my Mac having a diva moment - it has been working fine since I woke up this morning, no restart but maybe the sleep helped it?!
