I sincerely hope that I don't have to repay.

Okay, well, perhaps you missed this from the previous post:heather wrote:When you realize that deactivating a KJ's software on a Friday night and then being unavailable to reactivate it immediately is a poor business plan, please email me and I'll send you an order for the Pro version
I'm not sure how to make it more clear that i've "realized" the error of the eSellerate ways.dave wrote:i will certainly look into how i can fix the activation scheme cuz you're right, that totally sucks
I realize now that it was not meant sarcastically.dave wrote: i will certainly look into how i can fix the activation scheme cuz you're right, that totally sucks
I would have done so if I had any inkling that this was going to happen. I had my serial number from the purchase email just in case, but, alas, it was useless.dave wrote: Well, like i said, you can always email me and get your activations reset ahead of time so you're PRE-ready.
I will also follow up with eSellerate to see if they can change the error message to be more informative. I have no control at the time the error comes up, sadly I must rely on them, which I have always disliked.Heather wrote:The message it gave me, something like "There is something wrong with your serial number," was not helpful. If it had said, at least, that it detected a different hardware configuration, it would have saved me a great deal of time
If you replaced your startup drive then this is expected behavior. If however, all you did was attach another hard drive as external storage, then that should certainly NOT cause your SN to deactivate. If this is the case please let me know and I will take it up with eSellerate as well. But if you went from 10.4 to 10.5, this also caused many folks to deactivate, which is completely wrong IMHO.Heather wrote:I should mention that I really just installed a new hard drive
