I live in Newark , N.J. Could anyone recommend someone for private instruction. I need to get up and running with a karaoke system primarily for performing as a soloist.

If your a soloist you'll need no instruction. Just play with kJams for an hour at home and you'll be very efficient at running a show. kJams is written like all Mac programs, It just works so simply, and this is especially so if your not putting other singers into it.
I've recently taught someone to use kJams in no time and now there's no stopping them. Trust me, just play with it and come back here if you come across a particular problem and someone will resolve it for you, there a great bunch on here.
You could also check out

If you can't find an answer in the links you could try searching the forum for a key word and if that fails don't be afraid of coming back with what seems to be a dead simple problem, were here to help.

Thank you .I'll give it a shot. I would still like to find someone very proficient at using the program who is currently a pro and get in touch.
