Video is black

Post by inkdobber579 »

hello -

I'm using an iMac...and the Kjam Lite.

I've imported a song and the song plays but I can't see the words in the black screen. I can see the name come up but nothing else.

Not sure where to get the text in.

Thanks!

Sounds to me like there are two possibilities. 1) You added a song that didn't have karaoke lyrics in the first place. Did you ever see this songfile play as a karaoke anywhere else? If you know it is a good karaoke, then:

2) If it was not already stored as a zip file when you added it to Kjams, you should have ripped it to add it to you Kjams library.

Thanks for the reply...I finely got it going. Not quite sure what I did. I played around with some of the video settings.

They were AIFF files...that worked on other setups...PC.

Please excuse me, but I'm a novice to this stuff. When it finely worked, I just put my disk in an it worked. (no importing or anything)
I would think that I would want to store these on the harddrive and not a disk.

When you say ripped...what do you mean?

Ripping is the process of storing to the hard drive. See this:
