KJAMS 1.1b26 (paddle)
macOS 10.14.6
Hi Dave, I installed the latest version 31/10/20 and tested the changes to total songs and context menu to add song to singer. Both worked fine thanks.
Later that evening I discovered that a standard search isn't working consistently.
1. Enter search string e.g. "let's dance".
2. No search results first time.
3. Minor change to search string (removed last letter) then it works.
4. So does original search string at this point.

Search fails with V 1.1b26
Re: Search fails with V 1.1b26
it's not actually failing to give you search results, it's ONLY failing to scroll them into view.
after you search and it seems there are no results, take the vertical scroll thumb and drag it to the top of the scroll bar. now it works.
this will be fixed in the next update

Thanks Dave. I see what you mean. Dennis

Wait, that was the way to solve it?
... I really feel stupid now... I tinkered with kJams for longer than I should have,... procrastinated all day, for... a scrolling function.
I cannot adult today anymore

I am having a similar searching problem with V 2.1b74, except that there is no vertical scroll thumb at all. This has been happening for a very long time, and I just keep forgetting to look for an answer.

That's an old issue with me. I'll search for a song that I know exists and it's not matching until I type some more.
Sometimes I search for a song that starts with "summer" and don't find it. But since I find another song that starts with "summer", I can click on it, stop the search, and sort by title to find all of the songs starting with "summer".

this means your database is corrupt. sorry about that. the only way out is to rebuild, or to restore to a previous backup when it was actually working, before the corruption.

Thanks for the information, Dave. I'll get on doing that.
