VCD format vs the all popular CDG

I'm in the USA. I will check them out, thanks. It would be nice to have some of these. Can you download Pocket Songs? Are there any other companies that make these CDG's?

Pocket Songs, and for the classical and show stuff "Music Minus One" have the most extensive ranges.

Music Maestro do a range too as do Sound Choice. It is not always easy to find them though as the sites don't always tell you that the discs have this feature. The best bet is to search in Google or similar including the search phrase "guide vocals".

One more quick thought. On Pocket Songs watch out for the "JT" or Just Tracks range. With those you get err… just tracks.

It's all about taste and quality of musicianship. I've heard some really excellent/superior versions from unusual places, and I've heard some really wack tracks from usually reputable companies.

LOL, I have a series of R&B discs that are in everyway terrible. The music is amateurish and the graphics are just blue background and white/yellow lyrics, and usually with sync problems. But I keep them for the lulz.

I tend to favor the CDG format. It's what I've been using for years, it's easier to deal with, and it's virtually distraction-free. I HATED lugging around those old heavy-ass Pioneer and Sunfly Lasers, and the video was almost always dumb. Full-motion video for karaoke is, for me, completely unnecessary.
