Re: Show desktop after song?

I've created my own rotation screen which shows only the next 1 singer and I've "sold" the rest of the screen as advertising space to a local singing tutor.

This gets rid of the problem of people seeing that they're fourth in line only to have a new singer, or two, appear in front of them on the ...

Re: broken HDD / song locations

Dave - when's the best time to catch you online? I've just been signed in for a while but there's no sign of you.

Here's a screen shot showing the location that kjams thinks the track is in and, on the left, the information relating to the physical mp3 track which shows the location being the same ...

Re: broken HDD / song locations

I have to go and set up for tonights karaoke, using the back up gear, now.

Could it be the format of the drive? I've formatted this one as MAC OS Extended (journaled). The previous one worked out of the box, I don't know what format it was.

Re: broken HDD / song locations

Ok, I have the same path name and it still doesn't know where the song is?

broken HDD / song locations

My HDD broke last week, I purchased a new one and have copied all the kjams tracks from my backup disc to the new HDD and named the HDD the same as the old one. When I open kJams it doesn't find the tracks and prompts me to find them - I obviously haven't quite made an exact replica of my previous ...

Skipping a singer

I often want to skip a singer in the rotation for one song only.

For example bob sing his song and Phil is up next, when he's shouted it turns out he's on the toilet or outside having a cigarette.

What we want to do is skip Phil and get Sheila up moving Phil down the rotation one song.

If I click ...

Re: Just checking

Can't see tryout written anywhere (am I looking at the title bar?) I think it's a success.

Hurrah.

Re: Just checking

I've copied the xml file from the activated version on the mbp to the same location on the macbook. How can I tell if it's now activated on the macbook?

Re: Audio clip generator and playback crossfader

That sounds brilliant! I'm still trying to get the whole recording of the singers to work for me though. I tried it last week pre-gig and while audio recorder looked to be recording via the griffin imic (the green bars were certainly moving) I was getting nothing through playback? I need to spend ...

Just checking

Can I safely activate a second install of kJams on my backup macbook without it affecting the first copy on my MBP? I know it may sound like a daft question but I wanted to double check before I do it as we've got a gig on Friday night and I don't want to mess anything up.

Thankyou.

transposing and saving/burning

Is it possible to take a track that I have ripped from a sunfly cd, for example, transpose it down a couple of notches, and then either a) burn the track back to a cdg disc or b) save the mp3+g file of the transposed song so that if I was to use it on another, far inferior, piece of software it ...

Re: Possible to Record?

" Also, you can just playback with quicklook, then delete the file immediately. Much more convenient."

I've found the iMic, it was in the drawer that the wife said she looked in earlier!

So I rigged it all up, tested it and it works fine - 'cept I'm not sure what you meant with the comment above ...
