FFmpeg message

Post by Brendan »

When i try to play a converted VCD i get a message that says i need to download the FFmpg plugin to play MPEG-1 &2 files. Do i need to download it again? I have played them before with no problem at all. I just downloaded the latest version. Thanks

Same thing happened to me, downloaded the plug-in during my show last night, seems it's on a 15 day free trial now.

Haven't purchased it yet in case it's just a bug with the latest update.

Thanks,
Tim

please don't make stuff up and post it like that. you'll confuse people. there is no 15 day trial, there is no time limit on anything in kJams, ever.

this is just a bug. there is a new installation procedure, but the old one *should* still work. nothing was supposed to change, just a new behavior was added.

I apologize for the misunderstanding, I did not mean a Kjams free trial.

I followed the link to get the plug-in, it was on that site that explained this was a free trial.

Sorry for the confusion, my bad. You don't ever even need to run "VCD and MPEG tools", you only need to have it live in the Applications folder. You can just install it and forget it, the 15 day trial for THAT software is not in effect when kJams uses the "ffmpeg" that is built into it.
