I've deleted some songs from the HD and when I put them back on the HD the tracks (as expected) won't play from the original link and I'm given the option to find the track. When I click this option and navigate to the track and click choose the track still can't be found. So I then go to Re-link the File but the track still wont play.
The only way I can get the track to play is to Add To Library. I know I shouldn't have deleted the tracks but it's too late now cos I've done it.
Is there a way to make the original link from kJams play from the newly installed track on my HD

what is the file type of these tracks? are they unzipped audio+G? if so what is the file extension of the audio? .aif? .mov? .mp3? or what?
or are they zipped files?
what is the video format? .ndg? .cdg? or what?

I was trying to re-link the tracks to a different file type. the tracks were CDG and I'd been working in Garageband so I'd converted the tracks to QuickTime. I then deleted the original tracks by mistake, then when the tracks wouldn't play I tried to re-link the tracks the the quicktime files.
Your question made me realize my mistake so I got the disc out and re-ripped the tracks, then re-linked the tracks to the CDG file and it worked.
