Starting song ID

Post by dschallock »

Hello,
I sent this basic question to the author but thought I would ask here in case some one knows on the board.
Thanks ahead of time for any help.
My Name is Dan Schallock and I am trying out Kjams Pro. I am very impressed.
One thing I am trying to do is re-import my songs into my library after deleting the library.
I was trying to re-import them in the same order I imported them the first time so that the songs will have the same "Song ID #".
They seem to come in this 2nd time with higher starting number. (First time the starting number was 32371 and the second time it was 32836).
Is there any way I can tell Kjams to start the SONG ID # the same as the first time when re-importing?
The reason I ask is, I have already invested in printing song lists.
Thanks,
Dan

the answer is that you can't assign song ID's

the database creates the song ID, there is no way to change it. if you've invested in printing a song book, then you can NOT rebuild your library, or all your IDs will change.
that's why i say: stop using song IDs! just use the song name + album name instead.
