Energy Saver

Just talk about kJams stuff with each other, describe things you did that worked, talk about your setup, anything that doesn't fit into the other forums!

Energy Saver

Post by Brendan »

Last weekend i was using my macbook & Kjams at a friends house. Everything worked perfect as usual but we took a break and the energy saver kicked on (Screen went black) This is how i have always had it set up. When i went to move the mouse pad to bring the desktop back on the tv screen, the display started to go crazy(rapidly moving horizontally about four to five frames per second. I was unable to get it to stop until i quit kjams and restarted my Macbook. It happened twice and i had to restart two times. I have three RCA cables coupled together. I checked all the connections and changed the RCA cables out one at a time but it did it again. Note i changed all the RCA's while the screen was going crazy. Has anyone ever encountered this problem? The only thing i didnt do was change out the mini dvi/RCAadapter. I dont think this is the problem because it stopped doing it after i set the screen saver to come on before the energy saver. Thanks in advance-Brendan

I had a similar issue. I never wanted my energy settings to kick in if a certain application (kJams) was running.

This software was a big help. =-)

That is unnecessary. kJams itself "tickles" the computer every 30 seconds to prevent it from sleeping.
