Singer folder exists, singer does not

A couple of singers have gone missing inside of kJams. Their folders with complete xml files still exist, however. Is there any way I can make kJams "see" these singer folders again? One of the missing singers is me, and I live and die by my favorites list.

Here's the folder hierarchy for the missing singers: Music/kJams/kJams Library/Venues/Princess/Singers/[singer]

And the folders for those missing exist in that directory, they just don't show up in the application when you open the Venue and scroll down the list of singers. They also don't appear in the list you get when you right click and select "add to singer."

I have 253 singers showing in kJams, and 257 folders in Music/kJams/kJams Library/Venues/Princess/Singers/

update: we got it fixed up quickly, must have been like sunspots or something all fixed!

I am having this same issue. Is there a simple fix? I have singers who don't show up, but I still have their folders with the .xml files for them.

First thing to do is to make a duplicate of those singer folders and put them somewhere they won't get overwritten, like on your desktop. That way during the trouble-shooting/fixing portion of the procedure, there won't be any accidents that cause you to lose data. As far as the fix...it involved trying to determine if there were duplicate singer id numbers and then adding the singer folders back into the venue in batches to try to identify the culprits. But in the end, it got fixed without Dave being able to determine what the actual cause was. I recommend going directly to Dave for an appointment.
