No sound when I play purchased karaoke

Hi there,
I just downloaded kjams and I purchased a track from the built in store. This track is now in my library, but when I play it I don't get any sound. I get sound when I play other audio files, so I don't think there is any problem with the volume not being turned up, etc. The strange thing is that it will play like one second of the song, and then the sound goes away. Meanwhile, the elapsed time keeps increasing so the computer thinks it is playing the song. Very strange! Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

Have you tried just unziping the file, and playing the MP3 by itself outside of kJams?

go to prefs and turn off "skip silence at start of song", then click the "clear cache" button. you're all set now.
