The Best External CD+G ripper for Macbook Pro

Hi,
I'm new to everything and right now I'm just trying to rip some CD+Gs I just purchased onto KJams but Kjams is telling me that I don't have the right drive. Upon looking on the internet, this forum and the wiki page I see that I need a specific drive. Every software that I've tried to download just turns into a document on my mac. So I'm guessing I have to revert over to a hardware. What is the best cd+g ripper for a macbook pro? You really don't specify which drives were for which computer on the wiki page.
