Serial # required for new account on same laptop?

I installed the software on my macbook using my default account, then decided to create a new account just for kjams to keep things clean. However, it asked me to enter the serial # again and started as if it was a brand new install. Does this mean I've used up my 2 activations? I'm using the same machine.

yes, that is two separate activations. activations are per user, not per machine.

i can deactivate the other one if you want.

Update: i was incorrect, it uses only one activation per machine, but you do have to enter the serial number once per user.
