Reinterpreting

Post by JoeC »

Is there anyway I can reinterpret my music selections that are separated artist, song, album by commas? I have used the Advanced Reinterpret routine, which works very well, but it seems to only work on those songs using a dash as a separator. I also have a number of songs which have too much information included and will not allow me to use the reinterpret routine properly, for example, 14095 Xmas - Adams, Bryan - Run Run Rudolph - BS8917-16. Thanks.

you can use the capital letter i to "ignore" a part of your meta data.
and no, commas are not proper name delimiters.
to do that, you'll have to use "A Better Finder Rename" or the free "NameChanger" to change the commas into dashes BEFORE you add them to the kJams library.

if the songs are already in kJams, you should remove them from kJams first, then rename them, then re-add them, then reinterpret them.
