Want to Use External Burner but doesnt show up

Want to use this HP 1270 external Burner to test Kjams Lite. (I just got the plugin installed by deleting the Kjams Plugins folder as burning plugin was failing to install. Now I want to test burn TWO songs, and I know my internal Matshita will not burn, but I dont get a chance to CHOOSE the external HP USB burner.

I searched for Patchburn, but the last version was for 10.4, and I have Snow Leopard installed.

What can I do to see the HP 1270 drive to burn? Can I use the most recent patchburn (for 10.4) with Snow Leopard?, and will that make the external burner visible to Kjams?

Got it to work.

Put disc in before starting Kjams in external USB HP 1270e and Kjams saw the HP drive.

Did 2 song burn , 2nd song lyrics didnt show, only audio. On The Singing Machine Karaoke player my wife has.

Went back into laundry room and turned on Karaoke machine again, and went straight to song two, and this time lyrics came up with audio.

Anything I can tweek? to get the best burn. Dont think I saw any way of changing speed of burn. I saw some pretty fast choices all above 16x, however

in the burn dialog, just pick the lowest speed you can. press the blue arrow button to expand the dialog to get to the speed setting

I don't have the option to change to anything less than 16x. No arrow.
