Hello all I am new to the forum. I enjoy singing karaoke and friend turned me onto this site.
I was trying to rename a couple of tracks I had using the the name parser template. However, I wasnt aware of what I was doing and I deleted the default template. Would someone be kind enough to cut an paste the default template so I can continue renaming my files.
Thanks in advance,
Jesse
Default Name Parser Template List
Re: Default Name Parser Template List
go to the help menu and go "reveal preferences"
then quit kjams
then delete "Name Parser Templates.txt"
then run
then quit kjams
then delete "Name Parser Templates.txt"
then run
Re: Default Name Parser Template List
ty dave for ur prompt response. Worked perfectly.
I have a question. Im running kjams on a desktop mac and my karaoke files are stored on an external Harddrive. If I remove the harddrive and connect to my mac laptop, will i once again have to go through the whole hassle of renaming the files for it to show up exactly as it appears on my desktop? What about if I connected to a pc?
Thanks for ur prompt response, enjoying the trial product immensely and plan on upgrading soon.

Re: Default Name Parser Template List
you can clone your setup
http://karaoke.kjams.com/wiki/Cloning
and avoid the entire "add to library" stage
for windows, i do recommend you do "add to library" but presuming you didn't change any default settings the data should come across.
you may have noticed that when you changed any meta data, that kjams would do "push tasks" in the task window. this was updating the ID3 tags of the MP3 files on the external drive. that way, when you rebuild your library, you do NOT have to go thru the "reinterpret names" stuff. you should only ever have to do that once.
