Failure to convert KMA files.....

Post by DH44 »

Most all of my KMA files converted successfully but there are about 200 that came in with no duration time. The title, artist, brand etc. were all in the library but no duration. When clicking on one of the songs an error message appears saying there was a failure to convert the KMA file. I sorted by duration then created a playlist of the "0 duration" songs. How can I export the playlist to a text file so I can hunt down those particular KMA files again? If I re-load them, will they show as duplicates? Or should I just remove them from the library after I find the source files again?
Thanks

to reveal the source files of a song: right click the song->reveal in finder
to make a text file of a playlist: select playlist, File->export->CSV, or just select all and copy, go to text file and paste
if you load them twice, yes, you've loaded them twice.
to REMOVE them from the file system into their own folder so you can inspect them at your leisure:
file->export->original files, pick a folder, let 'er rip. THEN select all, edit->trash original files. that way, they're not in the file system where you originally added them and will NOT be added again if you rebuild your library..

meanwhile: send me a couple of these KMA's and i'll see if i can fix them.
