iJams recurring venue issue

Post by Maxx »

Hi Dave,
I have been experiencing an issue with iJams at one of the venues that I am at regularly. I have a couple patrons that use iJams. Some weeks it works for them. They can log in, submit songs, and it shows up in my rotation. Other weeks they make a submission and it doesn't show up at all. I haven't changed any of the settings from week to week. When this happens they are still able to log in and view the library, make a choice, and it "acts" like it made the request. When their song doesn't get posted and I don't see it they will come up and ask "did my request go in?" . Not sure if this is an iJams app issue, kJams issue, or something I may be completely overlooking. Any help would be great.

THANKS!

Maxx

i am not aware of any issues.

ask the singer next time to log out of the venue, then back in, then check their "tonight" list in the iJams app, see if the song actually made it into the list?

Had two different singers trying it last night. Same problem. They both tried logging in and out multiple times. They put in a request. It "acted" like it took it, but it never showed up in my rotation. I put them in "manually". Hmmmm....

so, they add a song, looks like it goes into tonight, then they go to their tonight list and it is LISTED there?
or it's NOT listed there?
this could be a problem with iJams just not verifying it's connection. Note there will very soon (feb 10) be another iApp called "wtkJams" (for "Where's The kJams"), which will do all that iJams does. So far it seems a little more robust in terms of ensuring the connection. Once that's out, i'll have you try that and see if there are no problems, then we can conclude that it's just a bug in iJams.
