WILL NOT OPEN "ASSERT FAIL"

Post by INNATEMUSIC »

I can not get my kJams to open up. I have been using it for almost one year and now it keeps saying tere is an "assert fail" and then wants me to do a bug report. What does this mean and how can I fix it?

I need to know the exact message that it says, it probably gives a file name and a line number. Also are you on the latest version? (the version changes weekly, so that's important).

Okay looking at the bug report you sent I see you have 1.0d47r15. First thing you should try is download the newest version, since you are a few revs out of date.

Then i see that the error message was in fact: "Assert Fail: plP, in file: 'CSinger.cpp' at line 129"

Okay I've looked at that line and I saw something I could do. So I did it. There will be a new release tonight. If you are around today and want to see it right away just email me and i'll send it to you immediately.

And sorry for not getting back to you sooner!

I guess I am not really sure what to do from here. I thought I downloaded the newest version from the site but it does the same thing as previously stated. So I am really confused. Thanks again for all of your help.
