Sluggish

Hello Dave,

I have been testing your KJams Pro for a few days now. I am using a win 7 64-bit machine with 4gb of ram and adequate specs. I have 125,000 songs and it seems the system gets very sluggish, sometimes even hangs up while playing a song. Reinterpret Names hangs and cannot seem to finish the database. Does the software prefer songs to be in a zip format or unzip format? Does it matter? What are some key elements I can do to make the system run at peak performance? I also cannot seem to get the iJams app working properly. I am not sure if Symantec is blocking the shared folder. I would like to purchase the software if I can get the bugs out of the way do you have any suggestions?

the truth is I'm still working on the Windows version, and took some shortcuts to get it running that I've not yet optimized. so yeah, it's much much slower than the Mac version. Currently the only thing you can do is not have so many songs (maybe try 60k), and turn off the music stores. Also, the server isn't even implemented yet (currently it only works on mac), so no iJams, but i'll be getting to that this coming year, as well as doing optimizations to bring it in line with the mac version. and as you've discovered, some songs still choke kJams (during reinterpret or play), and i've not yet had the help I need from end users to find out what songs they are (it never hangs for me, of course, and when it does i fix it. so i need people to figure out what song is hanging it, and have them send that song to me, but they never do!)
