Hi, I just installed KJams Lite on my Macbook, and a strange thing is happening when I try to play an MPEG video file when the same song exists in an MP3/CDG format in my library. KJams seems to demux the audio from the MPEG video, but then plays it back matched up with the CDG graphics that are normally associated to the MP3 file.
For example, I have the following songs in my library:
PRINCE - 7.cdg [THIS IS THE CDG FILE]
PRINCE - 7.mp3 [THIS IS THE MP3 AUDIO FILE ASSOCIATED WITH THE CDG FILE]
PRINCE - 7.mpg [THIS IS THE MPEG VIDEO FILE WITH A CHEESY KARAOKE VIDEO OF PEOPLE ON THE BEACH, NOT ASSOCIATED AT ALL WITH THE MP3]
Some people like the cheesy video, some don't, so I would like to give people the option of selecting either the MP3/CDG version to play, or the MPEG video version to play. What seems to happen is that KJams always only extracts the video from the MPEG video file, and always will use the CDG graphics file for the lyrics visual.
Is there any way that these two versions can co-exist in KJams and not be combined by the software?
Thanks!
Weird playback for MPEG video when an MP3/CDG version exists
Re: Weird playback for MPEG video when an MP3/CDG version ex
your files HAVE to have different names. (not including extension)
eg: for the MP3+CDG version, change the "Album" name to "Whatever CDG", and for the mpeg one, change the album name to "Whatever MPEG"
if they have the same name, they will confuse kJams.

Thanks Dave! I renamed the file for the video, and now it all works.
