Just as a metric, all searches will take between .25 and 2 seconds with the new database. This time is independent of number
of the results.
Over the Server the time to results IS dependent on number of the results, because they have to be transmitted to the remote client.
0-5 results: .25 - .5 seconds
5-30 resuts: .5 - 2 seconds
<200 results <3 seconds
<800 <8 seconds
<1200 <12 seconds

See a pattern here?

there are some worse bugs. like don't try to drag-reorder more than one at a time in the KJ rotation, among others.

The error messages increased, so I followed the Instruction:
in your "kJams Library" folder, delete the file "Songs.ksql" file.
I never had Music Stores in a playlist.

On restart, I'm still getting assert fail, line 184 warnings.
which version should I revert back to?

always only use the latest version, unless i can determine you've got an unworkable bug.

quit kjams completely
chuck the .ksql file
go into your "playlists" folder, do you see a "music stores" folder? delete it
run kJams
do you still get the asserts?

It seems the problem was a song I added.
The song is still in the library, it plays fine, but a false song file was also created with no name or artist, just - - , dashs where artist and song title are.
that file got into a few playlists, and when I clicked those folders, i'd get the dio/warning boxes.
I deleted that file, and everything seems to be back to normal.
