If I create a music folder (such as My Karaoke) with songs and "Add to Library" those songs and then later add additional songs to that folder...
1. My understanding is that the additional songs will not be added until I "Add to Library...". Correct? In other words, kJams doesn't continuously search for new songs in that folder.
2. If that is the case, if I "Add to Library..." the My Karaoke folder again now that the additional songs have been placed in the folder, will it ignore the old songs and only import the new ones or will I be looking at duplicates being made of the original songs?
Did a quick search, but it seems the search words I was using were to common to bring up anything useful.
Importing Songs
Re: Importing Songs
Try it. You can always delete them from your library, but, the songs will be added again if you add the whole folder. kJams won't ignore the fact that the songs have already been added so just "add to library" the fresh songs you've added to the folder
Re: Importing Songs
1 and 2 are both correct. if you get a new batch of songs, put them in their own folder, then add that, else you'll get duplicates

Re: Importing Songs
Another thing you can do so as not to end up with a tortuous folder structure is to first label all songs in the Finder by selecting them, and then using File>Label, and picking a colour. Then drag the files to your karaoke folder and then sort by label. Select all the ones you just labeled and drag them into kJams. Then go back to Finder, make sure they are still selected, and set the label back to none (<X>).
