Questions:
If a kJams karaoke Library song is set to a selected key shift and volune setting and a CDG is burned for that song, does the burned CDG capture the library key sift and volume settings?
Likewise if a MP3+G is burned are the library settings retained in the burn??
Also if a certain amount of synch slip is applied to a library song, is this synch slip remembered in the next play back and for any burn of the song in a CDG or MP3+G format???
Key/Volume retention?
Re: Key/Volume retention?
pitch changes ARE applied to burned discs. there is no difference between an "kJams karaoke Library song" and an MP3+G in this context. the SONG remembers the pitch change, no matter what playlist you find it in. (the exception is Singer playlists)
sync slipping is NOT applied to burned discs, but it IS remembered. if you really need sync slipping on burned discs, let me know and i'll look into it.

Re: Key/Volume retention?
dave,
I ran a couple of tests:
Confirmed your reply that pitch settings are captured in a CDG burn.
However, tempo settings are not remembered!
Tempo retention would be a nice feature in kJams.
For MP3G burns, neither pitch nor tempo settings are remembered!
PS don't really need sync remembrance.... it can be handled easily enough between TunePrompter & kJams PRODUCER

Re: Key/Volume retention?
tempo changes would be difficult to do, because you can't just "slow down" or "speed up" a CD, you would have to remove or introduce blank instructions very judiciously, a non-trivial task. not impossible, just not easy,or it would already be done.
You seem to contradict yourself tho, so i'm confused. first you say a burned CDG DOES include pitch changes (which is correct), then you say it doesn't. kJams can ONLY burn Audio+G (and audio could very well be MP3). and pitch changing (and it's preservation in burning) works with all Audio types.

Re: Key/Volume retention?
Guess what I was really trying to say is when I export a playlist as flat files, ie a CDG file with an MP3 file; the MP3 file does not remember the pitch setting from the kJams playlist. Hope that helps.
Re: Key/Volume retention?
no, it's not intended too. note it says "original files".
