Multiplex CDG's Channel Suppression

Post by franks »

If channel suppression is applied to a multiplexed CDG library song, will the suppression channel be captured in a CDG(or MP3+G) burn of the multiplexed song?

no, the disc is burned with the original (multiplex) channels.

dave,

I ran another test here and found that a suppressed multiplex channel is remembered/captured in a CDG burn.

However,as you stated, a suppressed multiplex channel is not captured in a MP3G zip file.

But, if you have the Audacity app, you can delete the right channel containing the vocal and save the left track as a new MP3 to replace the kJams MP3 track.

Do you know of another easier way?

i'm guessing you mean "export original files". yes, this is true, since you are getting the original files.

kJams is not really intended to be an audio batch processing tool, so there is no simple way to permanently strip the multiplex channel out, except by burning a disc.

you could try exporting to BIN/CUE, which goes thru the burning process but produces a file, then you have an uncomressed bin file however, not an MP3.
