kjams won't update

kjams won't update

I am stuck on R16. I didn't use kJams for a few weeks and when launched prompted me to update to R23. It went through the download and unzipping, but when I relaunched I was still on R16 and told to update. How can I update? Thanks for your help as always. :oops:

from the downloads page:
"the automagical updater that is built into kJams fails for some reason (or you're crashing on startup), it's probably due to a newly introduced bug, which is probably now FIXED in the current version. So just go download the latest version and install it manually (replacing the one that was there before). Hopefully from then on the auto-updater will work again"
