karaokeanywhere

Just talk about kJams stuff with each other, describe things you did that worked, talk about your setup, anything that doesn't fit into the other forums!

i was ready to just let them keep all the revenue but get to say "works seamlessly with kJams", which would have put a ton of new users right in their laps, but i dunno, they just kinda went away.

I was talking post KaraokeAnywhere (since apparently, they don't seem to care.)
I assumed from your post that you were going to just write the app yourself.

From there, you would get an army of people pushing it if there was a revenue sharing model.
Just a brainstorm.

OIC yeah.

well, the revenue sharing probably would not motivate anyone, i think. really, i get a few cents a song, and splitting a few cents with someone is like, well, like giving them half a penny. at the end of the month, you've made $6, it doesn't really motivate me. i dunno.

Dave,

Even if they aren't so keen on following this up, it it possible for you to at least add an item to the export menu to export a playlist to KA. Someone over there has a way to export multiple files to KA using terminal...

1) I am poor. $6 is dinner! :-/
2) I think the guy died or was abducted by alien proctologists or something. His facebook page just kind of goes dead at the end of March.

I think the thing everyone will clamour for is streaming from the library. It would be trivial to upload the song to KA, but then you have copyright issues galore. Technically, Fair Use can be argued, but it is a tough climate for Fair Use these days. Streaming minimizes the likelihood of someone getting all bent out of shape. Streaming of time-limited clips helps too.
The issue then is really going to be bandwidth.

Makes me wonder if Dave couldn't roll some sort of preview into his current iPhone app? I'm sure you have nothing left on your feature todo list. ;-)

Will there be a connection between kJams and Karaoke Anywhere or is the project killed?
