Too many songs?????

I just loaded a large library to my kJams and I have over 34,000 songs. I got a message that I have over 15,000 songs and less than 4 GB of space left and I would experience problems. I have over 40 GB on my MacBook Pro and my external hard drive has about 150 GB left. I was wondering if anyone else got this message and what needs to be done to fix the situation. you're confusing RAM with HD space. it doesn't matter how much HD space you have, what matters is RAM. if you have that many songs, it's going to hog all your RAM and start paging out to disk, which will be SLOW. and *could* cause out of memory errors or crashes. upgrade your ram to max for your machine.

Dave, Thank you, I was being computer stupid. I knew that and just didn't quite think in that direction. I doubled up on my RAM and now, it is flying, I should have done that a long time ago. I am now going through the long list of songs that have [song name/artist/album] is all shown under "Song Name" together, and I'm separating them. That is taking a long time, but kJams is amazing and I am recommending it to everyone I talk to. I am also planning on making a printed book of all my songs. I do wish the "Print" option did all that automatically, but you can't have everything,,,,well not yet anyway. Keep up the Great Work. Wayne Smith

Dave, I got them all done in about 45 minutes, I have been manually doing them all day long......Wow, what a time saver. Thanks one more time. Now I am working on the duplicates...it is so easy now. Wayne
