Then came the bummer.
I stumbled across some Super CD+G discs on eBay last week. They're the Chartbuster Essential 450 series. I was nervous about whether they would work with kJams, but the features said they should be compatible. I did come across the forum listing regarding problems with these same discs, but Dave's response was that they were just bad copies. Today, I got them in the mail. I was pleasantly surprised when I popped one in, and kJams immediately opened it. The best part... all of the track info was already filled out (even though I had the database lookup turned off). I was super excited, selected all tracks, and let 'er rip. 4 songs in, it crashed (just like what happened with the other guy). I got an error message stating something about "looking for a file, got a folder" (or possibly the other way around). The discs seem to play okay... except for a very slight lag in the graphics. I did notice the ripping time per track was insanely fast compared to ripping a regular CDG.
Any ideas? The discs appear to be legit. You can feel good knowing that these same discs are SUPPOSED to be PC compatible, and mine won't even open them.
