More of an "issue" than a "bug"...

Feel free to post bug reports here. I need exact, detailed steps showing me how I can re-create the bug on my machine, so give as much info and detail as possible.

As an point of interest, I've been able to mitigate the majority of the lag by making sure that the library sorted by "#". I take it that the library runs a sort operation every time you load it?

Not perfect, but at least I don't have to wait until a musical break to load the library anymore. Any pause in the lyrics sweep will do now.

For even faster sorting, sort by PLI :)

best performance of course is on an Intel mac.

Note: with Snow Leopard not supporting PPC macs any more, you know it's a matter of time now until kJams can no longer support PPC machines.

While I can appreciate wanting your userbase on decently fast hardware... I would hope that a 1.33 ghz g4 with 1.25 or 1.5 G RAM could be pressed into service with full functionality.

you may hope, but until i get into beta, i am not concentrating on optimization. I definitely plan to do very aggressive optimizing once i get into beta.

keep in mind however that the minimum requirement will remain 2 GB of ram. and i will eventually be completely dropping support for PPC machines (because that is what Apple is forcing upon us with the OS). in general i support 2 revisions back on the OS. so if Apple is at 10.6, then i will support 10.4. This means when Apple is on 10.8, then the minimum supported system for kJams will be 10.6 which is intel only.
