Is the pitch changing saved?
Is the pitch changing saved?
Is it possible to drop the key in a song then save it? Will it save the key when i reopen it and play it? - Cheers
Re: Zipping songs
the pitch shifting is done on the fly, the song file itself does not need to be re-encoded (thus re-zipped) with that pitch. kJams remembers your pitch settings and will apply it next time to the same song. each singer saves their own different pitch settings.
Re: Is the pitch changing saved?
Sorry, not Kjams related but karaoke related
I am trying to actually send a zip file to an iphone karaoke app with my preferred pitch because the app cannot pitch shift. I want to be able to sing it in my pitch. Is it possible? program accepts zip files only - Thanks

Re: Is the pitch changing saved?
oh, in that case you must use QT export to export the pitch shifted audio.
export to quicktime, then open the result in QuickTime player and export the audio only track to MP3, then pair that MP3 with the CDG and zip it up.

Re: Is the pitch changing saved?
Hmm, amazing , i ll give it a shot. Can this same process be used to lose the lead vocals in multiplex songs? I don't want lead vocals on when i unzip it. - Thanks for the help!
Re: Is the pitch changing saved?
you betcha.
Re: Is the pitch changing saved?
Having trouble with this. Is there a step by step guide for this? Is this done within Kjams? Do i use file/export/entire playlist only audio files?- Thankyou
Re: Is the pitch changing saved?
intstall LAME
in kjams set your quicktime exporter to losseless
make a playlist with all the files for which you want to permanently change the pitch.
then select all in the playlist and export to quicktime, to a new folder on the desktop
then file->export->original files that playlist a new folder on the desktop
then open each quicktime movie you just made
and file export audio to LAME mp3 to a new folder folder on the desktop
now go to kjams and do "reveal in finder" on the same selection
unzip each one, replacing the MP3 with the exported mp3
rezip each mp3 and make sure the new zip has the same name as the old zip
i skipped some steps but i hope that covers it?
