SONG BOOK

Just talk about kJams stuff with each other, describe things you did that worked, talk about your setup, anything that doesn't fit into the other forums!

SONG BOOK

Post by capone949 »

Ok kind of new to KJAMS. Heres what I want to do....
I want to print a song book but every time I copy and paste the data to a new document , the numbers, albums song ID lists first. Id love to be able to just get ARTIST, first then last name then SONG TITLE next, after that I really dont need any more info printed. I know alot of you guys know how to do this and ive asked for help on other issues and got nothing less than great assistance. So, if anyone has a free moment to tell me how to do this, Id really appreciate the help. To me a song book just needs to be listed like this...Artist(First,Last),Song name.

It's really easy if you're copy/pasting. You just need to select and re-order the columns in the playlist view you are copying from. I assume that means the Library view.

So, go to Library, then right click (control click) on one of the column headers, for instance SongID. A little menu will come up with all the possible columns you could have, and the one you clicked on in the very top with a check mark next to it. Click on this entry to clear the check mark, and poof! your SongID colum should be gone. Wash, rinse, repeat for the other columns you want to get rid of.

Now, by click/dragging on the remaining column headers, you can organize them in the order you want.

Copy, Paste,

when you return to kjams, you can add back the columns you want to the same way - right click on any of the headers, scroll down the menu to the column you want, and click on it.

There you have it - and each playlist should remember what columns you have displayed - I use a different column format for my Library than I do for example my tonight lists.
