I'm using kjams with my karaoke library on an external hard drive... one that was formatted as NTFS. Evil: I know.
The program worked, except that I assume that none of the changes that I made to meta data was saved.
Now, I've put the files back on the same drive, formatted Mac Extended, and I notice only now it kjams inserting xml files next to each zipped karaoke tune.
I gather 1) it's normal for the xml files to be created when the songs are added to the library, and 2) they weren't created before because the formatting of the drive was not compatible?
Also, is there a limit to the number of songs that can be added to the library in one fell swoop? I was trying to add about 19,000 songs and the program hung. And this time when it hung, it stopped being responsive when I restarted the program. I had to delete the Library folder to reset everything. I'm just getting started, so I don't have a problem with such a drastic solution.

Thanks, Dave!
