do you know what a cache is? it's just temporary files. i was just helping you clear enough space so you could get GrandPerspective installed. The cache files have nothing to do with your actual music files.when I cleared the cache, 24,342 music files remained
There is a pref "make playlists of imported items", you can shut that off if you want.
