Will kjams work efficiently off my external HD?

My song folder currently totals 78 gb's of music. MAC has 48 gb's of space available. Should I try to eliminate enough apps, etc. to copy the music to my Mac's HD or am I better off leaving the music folder on my external (SEAGATE)? thanks

You can do whatever you want. a hard drive is a hard drive, it doesn't matter where it is (internal or external), there is no performance difference (presuming FireWire, i recommend AGAINST USB).

the question is do you want to lug around another drive? I'd say no you don't. i'd upgrade my mac's HD to be large enough to carry all my songs. then you'd use your other drive for a backup.
