I was able to duplicate the senerio for KMA files not pausing-
1. Open Kjams
2. Dropped a new song into Singer1
3. Start song for Singer1
4. Drop new songs into Singer1 while first song is playing.
5. Result- Kjams continues to play to the next song.
I repeated the reply of the same songs in the same Singer. I noticed the one of the songs was not cached yet. So when I add a song that I have not played previously (not cached) will be if its next in line.
Repeated again with the new songs after it was played once. Then the pause feature worked.

was not able to reproduce this bug, sorry.
in had to interpret your steps below, this is what i did
1. run kjams
2. drop a kma song onto an existing singer "foo"
3. selected "KJ Rotation" playlist
4. double click the only singer in there, "foo", song starts playing
5. selected "Library" playlist
6. drug another kma song onto singer "foo"
7. (optional) drug the play head to just about the end of the song (instead of waiting)
8. waited for end of song
9. next song loaded and paused just like it's supposed to
