KjPro disc number enter pop-up has gone missing

Dave,

When ripping a disc, Kjams attempt to find the titles from the on-line services. In prior versions, when the disc was not found, a pop-up would appear allowing one to enter a disc number in KjPro and then use those titles. That appears to have gone missing. I liked that feature, as I sometimes have a disc that KjPro does not recognize, yet I can find it at KjPro and then manually enter the correct number, saving me from having to type the titles. Example: Sing it Now Adult Contemporary Summer/Fall O5 disc does not get recognized. Yet, I can find it on KjPro as SINAC05SUM. In the prior version, I could enter SINAC05SUM and the titles would appear.

Also, the Bug Reporter service did not send me an e-mail to use the Bug Reporter.

Make sure your prefs are set correctly: in the "KJPro" prefs panel, make sure "use kjpro" checkbox is ON.

Bug reporter:
1: don't ever use Apple's bug reporter. EVER. hit cancel.
2: the kJams bug reporter does not send you an email. it sends the email to me. Are you saying you crashed, hit cancel on the apple bug reporter, ran kJams again, waited 10 seconds, and then the kJams bug reporter did NOT come up? that's odd. try again.

I'll check the prefs thing tonight, but I'm pretty sure I tried it both ways.

Re the bug reporter - I tried to use the bug Reporter noted here at the top of the forum. When I went to the Mantis log-in to try to set up an account, I never got an e-mail back giving me the activated account.

KJams is acting like it is not querying KjPro. What I did:

1) Restarted Kjams after verifying that the use KjPro database box was checked in the Kjams preferences.
2) Inserted a disc that was not recognized by last night (Sing it Now, Summer 2004, Urban Karaoke)
3) Observed Kjams attempt to query Freedb, MusicBrainz and TrackType. It did not attempt to query KjPro.
4) Disc results returned with "Audio Track" and "Audio CD" filled-in the track name and cd name slots. Duration was filled in accurately.
5) Selected Get Tracks from KjPro from the advanced menu.
6) Returns a pop-up box saying "disc not found."

Update: Yep that feature "expired" at the end of the year. Ya know what? I'm going to un-expire it, and make it be on by default, and have the username and pass entered by default. I was waiting and waiting and waiting for KJPro to figure out that they could be making money on this, but they don't seem to be interested in making money from their meta data. So until they do, it's free for everyone with no setup.
