CD-G on ebay
Buy your songs at the online-store integrated in kjams!
And: Buy only this ones requestet by your singers, you can buy the songs live during your show, so you always have 20'000 songs for choice and you have to buy only a few...
All you need is kjams, an internet connection and giftCards from tricerasoft...

actually
i take that back a good idea....

I have bought a couple of these discs before thinking they were a bargain but I have to say although the graphics are ok, the quality and production of the music has been below standard.
I would suggest you stick to brand names such as sunfly/zoom/sound choice. I think they all do packs to help the new starter.

okay
know any good places to get these kits? thanks!
Sure...any online reputable karaoke dealer will have them. Karaoke.com for starters. There are a bunch of others. The problem with a lot of the ebay stuff is that it's pirated music. Hard drives filled with tens of thousands of songs or obviously-copied discs. And that just contributes to the destruction of the CD-G manufacturers. That and crappy licensing support from labels, and song-writers.
:)
I have to agree on this one. I highly recommend *against* purchasing a "karaoke hard drive" on eBay. Not just because it's illegal, but because we as the karaoke community have to take seriously that it is us who supports our music publishers, without which we would have not quality karaoke music.
