Nearly every time I mark a singer 'here' during a show, even though the singer shows up in the rotation, when I actually start their song, the rotation skips right to the next song.
To make kJams play a newly arrived singer, I must actually double-click on the song name in the rotation list (as opposed to the 'start' arrow button, or the start button on the remote). Then it plays and all subsequent selections for that singer will play properly in their proper rotation.
As far as specifics: I turn on my MacPro laptop. I quit 'wLan' which starts automatically (leaving it on doesn't make any difference). I then decline joining the local wireless network. Next I start my kJams software. kJams is the only package running.
I have a singer marked 'music' which is a file of songs with vocals that I play while the crowd warms up (and I finish set up). I then mark singers present as 'here'. Next I select songs for each singer and move them into the rotation. The first song for each singer is skipped unless the name of the song is manually clicked right in the rotation list.
Singer skip
:)
thanks for that very excellent report. I'll try that workflow and fix the bugs.
Normally, i never mark singers "here", since adding a song to their que will do this for me (assuming that pref is set).
next i never use the play button, i always double click to start the rotation. that's why i never ran into this trouble
