Instead of having two list of singers (first list bold regular singers & 2 list non bold less frequent singers) could we have it that whilst a singers file is open, only they are at the top of the pile of singers.
I have 180 singers at one venue and about half of them are in bold (at the top of the list) But I never have 90 singers on one night. If I had only opened files at the top they would be quicker to find when I need to add songs to their tonight list

I think the program already functions that way. The bold singers are the only ones checked "here" in the venue view. Click on the venue name, sort by the "here" column, and uncheck all of them. They will all lose the bold and be sorted with the non-bold list. As you add a song to a singer name during the course of the evening, they will automatically be checked "here" and move to the top of the list and be listed in bold.
I recommend that you open the venue view during your show setup even if you won't need it during the show. The reason is that it can take awhile for that view to open (I've got 147 singers in mine). Once it's sorted them once, though, it'll come up fast the rest of the night so if you need it again you won't have to wait 60 seconds or so to do whatever it is that you needed there.

hmm, it should not take that long to open the venue, it should be very quick, that sounds like a bug.
Also, at the start of a show, you can do "Advanced->Clear All Tonight Lists" which will remove all songs from all singers' Tonight lists (thus making them all go "not here" or "non bold")

I run into the same long delay the first time I right click on a song and select "add new singer." It sits there after I click type the name and click ok for 30 seconds. It then adds the new singer. This is the second show that I've noticed that behavior. It's very similar to the wait for opening the venue list.
Note, I can add songs to existing singers without ever encountering the delay. It's only happened when I add a new singer.
