Add to library

I tried to add to library and kJams froze immediately on clicking "add to library" I then had to force quit

if something happens only once, it's not a bug. ie: if you can't make it happen again, then there's next to nothing i can do.

if it happens randomly, but repeatedly, or if you can reproduce it 100% of the time, then it's a bug.

the best is when it generates a crash report, which is also probably not the case now, since force-quit bypasses creating a crash report (IMHO this is a bug in the OS).

so the question is: does it happen all the time?

I tried to add to library twice and got the same problem. I didn't try again because I was at work. I will try again tonight with the latest download

Well, I had an extremely busy night so I didn't get to try to add to library again. I've just tried at home without my HD connected and kJams didn't freeze, but I will try again tonight (I've got a much quieter night tonight)

I did manage to add to library OK when I tried with the latest kJams download, but it did take a while. I had kJams not responding in the force quite box, but I left it and after a few min's kJams worked normal again. The reason I looked at the force quit is because after I'd added to library I couldn't do anything with kJams.

I also noticed that when I then went to rename them I had the same few min's till kJams woke up again.

when you did "Add to library" did you get a progress bar dialog?
during that dialog, obviously you can't interact with kJams, is that the time during which it was saying "not responding"? if so, that's expected.

if it was not responding after the dialog went away, or if the dialog never showed up, that's a bug. let me know.

"went to rename them" rename what? "same few minutes"? what?
please please please be much more specific when you report a problem, tell me exactly what you did and exactly what went wrong and when?
