Feel free to post bug reports here. I need exact, detailed steps showing me how I can re-create the bug on my machine, so give as much info and detail as possible.

Corrupted Zip files

Post by Takesanap »

I'm getting a corrupted zip file message when I rip a disk I've previously ripped. Has anyone seen this before? I have the latest update of KJ lite

umm, why are you ripping something you've already ripped? You know that "ripping" means copying the bits off the CD and encoding right? You're NOT talking about "adding to library" an existing Audio+G file pair.

The reason I attempted to re-rip the CD is that I deleted the library accidentally by attempting to consolidate (I failed to rename the library). I then trashed all files associated with the library except the CD files. And get the error on only 1 cd. It is the "Artist Karaoke Series - Queen Vol.1)

well i'm still confused. when you say "except the CD files" do you mean "except the "kJams CDs" folder"? because that only contains meta data, it does NOT have any zip files inside it.

kjams does not create corrupted zip files. that will only happen when *playing* a file you got from the internet or from somebody else who got it from the internet (which originally came from some windows machine)

Dave , I meant the CD Folder. I'm currently ripping disks that I have no problems with all songs are playing. After I'm finished I will again try that CDG that is giving me problems.

I purchased the CDG. So it should rip with no problem. I'm using an iMac with Mac OS 10.5

I'll get back if I still have a problem.
