How to Change Singer order in KJ Rotation view list

Post by Starship »

Folks,
I do not understand how to change the order of Singers in the KJ Rotation. I tried just drag & drop, but nothing moves. Looked in the Doc/wiki, but ??

Thanks for the help!

Best regards,
Bob

I had that same problem last night. I was stumped for a while until I realized that I had removed the # column and was sorting by some other column

If you don't see a column with the header # then right-click (or control-click) on the column headers, the first one is #

Then sort by that column.

call me stupid, but I still don't know how to move up a singer. I am stuck in a situation where the client comes up and says, I want to sing after this person and then I want my friend to sing this song.

Okay... So how I have been making it work is look at the Rotation list and see who is in front of them after I added the songs. I then go to the Venue and unclick that they are here (all except the top one which is the one who is singing right now... did that one time by mistake and stopped the song.. whoops!)

Once they get done singing there songs, I readd all those that I had to set as not here, of course the rotation has changed so now everyone is confused.

I have read the "Click Me" that dave put previous to this post but I still don't seem to get what I am trying to do. Now I have learned that if a song is over if I am in the "Rotation" menu, I could double-click on the song and it brings it up as the next song. That's pretty cool, but how to adjust several users and how they are set in the Rotation I just can't seem to figure out.

click "Rotation"
Ooops! That's wrong, i meant:
click "KJ Rotation"
make sure you're sorted by "#"
drag and drop the singer you want to move, drop it ON TOP of the singer you want to put it IN FRONT of.

Please reply and say "oh i get it now" :)

Dave... I have tried this and just tried this again and it doesn't change the order of singers for me.

I click on "Rotation" located just above "KJ Rotation"

I then click on the "#" column so they are sorted, with 1 being at the top (or closest to the # sign).

I then click on rthe singer that is down on the rotation and drag up towards the top and onto another singer to put the dragged singer right before the dropped on singer and nothing happens.

currently using your latest and greatest version ....49r32

Am I just not getting it?

Okay... my bad.

I thought I read somewhere that it says in "Rotation" click and drag a singer up and drop onto another singer to place them before that singer.

Well all of its correct except that you do this under "KJ Rotation" which is where a KJ should be working from anyhow.

The "Rotation" menu is more for the screen "Who's Singing Next" screen.

After playing with the KJ Rotation menu, I find my job could of been sooooo much easier if I figured this out sooner.

So my bad.... everything works great (as usual dave) USER ERROR
