sweeps not in sync with music

Feel free to post bug reports here. I need exact, detailed steps showing me how I can re-create the bug on my machine, so give as much info and detail as possible.

sweeps not in sync with music

Post by randyj »

This has been on-going for many versions. I have 49r16 and the glitch teased me again today. It happens only rarely, but...

double-click a song title to start playing, it starts, and surprise! The graphics are not in sync with the music by a couple of seconds. Not a big deal, but enough to be distracting for the singer.

STOP the song, play it again, and now it's in sync

Aargh! Haven't been able to reproduce it on demand yet.
Possible clue: it happened tonight to the first song I played after upgrading to a new version

sadly i myself have never seen this. as you know, i can't swat a bug that i can't see. the only way i'll get it is if you can reproduce it 100% of the time, then teach me how to reproduce it.

Haven't seen it, but now that I know it might not be just a bad rip, I'll keep an eye out.

Ok, FINALLY caught it in the act... Intel MacBook, plug or unplug the audio cord while the song is playing, the OS or hardware pauses the audio until it figures out what you're doing and then continues where it left off

Meanwhile, kJams has continued to put the graphics up as it should.

now it's out of sync until restarting the song or next song starts.

This is not a kJams issue, in other words, and quite rare at that.
